MetalFX
Software from MetalFX provides for various effects that can be achieved within artwork. SecurityFX, for example, can be used to create metal effects within vouchers, security labels, packaging and credit cards. HoloFX can be used to make images appear and disappear when moved under light, whilst LiteFX can be used to create a selected area of artwork appear to change colour.

The MetalFX process metallic colour system requires only one extra ink, which is run along with four standard process colour inks on a five-colour machine. The transparency of the CMYK allows the high lustre MetalFX base silver ink to shine through, creating a whole new spectrum of vibrant metallics.
