Ram Bundling at WHP
White Horse Press has added a “ram bundling” facility to its finishing department, following requests from customers for such a capability.
This method of “packaging” requires a specific amount of printed copies to be sandwiched between two hardboard end plates. These bundles are then strapped in both directions to secure the package. Such bundles are the preferred method of receipt for the large mailing houses, where inserting machines are used to add flyers or leaflets into business or consumer publications. They can be placed directly into the inserting machine, providing for fast and efficient production.
“Customers were asking us to provide leaflets and flyers in this form of bundling, and so it made sense for us to invest in the necessary equipment,” said Steve Greener, joint managing director at White Horse Press. BACK TO NEWS INDEX |
