WHP gain new standard

White Horse Press, Newbury, is delighted to announce that it has achieved the standard required to qualify for the ISO9001:2000 accreditation. This latest award is an upgrade from the previous ISO9000 standard held by the company.

Commenting on the company's achievement, Steve Greener, joint managing director, said: "ISO9000 prescribed a more procedural approach and, though applicable to any industry, it was heavily biased towards the manufacturing sector. The ISO 9001:2000 standard is based around the principles of customer satisfaction, continual improvement and the development of a process based quality management system."

The standard is underpinned by eight key quality management principles, including a general customer focused organization; leadership; the involvement of people; ensuring a process approach; a systematic approach to management; a factual approach to decision making; mutually beneficial supplier relations; and continuous improvement.
